Eyes filled with tears
Hearts filled with fear

Increasing steps way by way
Losing past day by day

Entering into life's new phases
Complicated as the time passes
and go through the gathering years
With burdens of care and sorrow
and our eyes filled with tears
With sweet memories blooming in mind
We climbed the ladder of knowledge
leaving the pass behind

Now our eyes are filled with tears

We had good run over the years
But for how long will we be together?

We will go in our own ways
Separating from each other
Will we meet again anymore?
For which we are not very sure

Those days will never be back again
And we will remember it again and again
The time has come to become a shining star in the sky
So let’s not forget each other forever
Now with heavy hearts

Let’s all say goodbye. -

October 04, 2007

Its never easy to say good bye to people whom have grown close to you. I have always thot its all in the mind whenever others tell me about it.

I am beginning to feel the strain and reluctance in bidding farewell to those so close to my heart. Life have to move on for me and yes i know, for others too. In these modern era, how often do people mean it when they say " thanks for appearing in my life..." or " thanks for all the good times you brought to me.."

I want to be sincere to a couple of people before I finally bow out of this place. This place was once my home, many many sweet memories. Its a place where I have grown and see the world.

My work place.

Yeah, its true. I am telling you guys. This is one helluva nice working place initially. Until things were forced to change under certain circumstances. But still, I have never regretted meeting the people here.

And now (drums roll) for the following candidates; thanks for all the time we shared.

Saripah - the founder and creator of superb curry puffs.

Saimah - the modern mom who has a wild side of her well kept in her... *winks*

Trudy- Another modern mom and also my niece whom time and time again got me out of trouble.

Ah Keow - the founder of the C.B society. My god mother whom owiz offer golden words of wisdom...... CB.

Victor- How can we not love the adorable pussy cat?

Neo - The one who "neos" it all, my fav competitor in PES (Winning eleven)

James - the one whom I hate and love for bringing SD to my life.... Master mind planning a Europe trip for a bunch of misfits.

Chiang - A boss whom I love to hate. A fren whom I am lucky to met. A mentor in life I can rely on.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST

MY DEAR BRO THIRU aka black toner - the brother whom I never fail to forget whenever I have chin chow. We have been thru much, just remember this.... India will sure make it in water polo ONE DAY....

And the many new members whom joined us recently... Sri, Dewi, Esther - Stay cool.

Look out for further updates on my thots as the D-day approaches....

Employees these days no longer resort to undertable methods to gain promotion into management level. Some still choose to bend down and keep the bosses happy...

The idiot driver of this Hyundai Getz must have been blinded by the haze. Its so obvious that his car is out of position, but he or she cannot see that it has partially parked into the NO PARKING lot. Its only a Getz ... So stop thinking you are driving a 7 series Beemer! Picture taken at 1.50pm 16 Oct, At Ghim Moh.

This is another idiotic driver. I took this picture around 9.30pm on 15-Oct at Marina Square Carpark. At that time, there was at least 10 parking lots available. But this idiot decided to park in the middle of no where. As you can see in the first picture, its clearly blocking the maroon vehicle from coming out. Another one of many parking idiots caught on camera!

Idiot number 1

The above idiotic driver parked his car into a loading and unloading lot. Knowing that you are not suppose to park there, at least have the common sense to park it straight! Stupid idiot, why drive when you can't even park.

Idiot number 2

I don't have to explain much. Look how far out this 2nd idiot Volkswagen TDI is parked. Look at the center picture and judge for yourself. Don't imagine and think that you are driving a limousine, limousines are not allowed in Singapore. You are driving a LGV only so wake up your idea, stupid driver!

Both pictures of idiotic parkers are taken near Parkway Parade on 11-Oct-06 at 2100hrs.

Dear people, its been a long time. Finally I am coming to the end of my reservist stint. I have always thought of going back for reservist a total waste of time and money.Well, lets see how is time being spent during this "high-key" reservist. (High-key means you go back more than 7 days and considered more siong.)

8am-8.30am - loittering around smoking corner and sleeping around while waiting for the rest to report

8.30am - 9.30am - Start to see if your kakis have arrived and start talking cock. There are many "Speakers Corner" whenever there is a ICT (In camp training.) You can choose to attend which ever talk you like. From the latest "gahmen (goverment) issue to how to lie to your wife that your ICT last 3 months....

9.30am - 11am - TEA BREAK! All will walk to the canteen or nearby cafe for coffee and continue wasting time.

In short, the day starts only about 11.am onwards. The rest of the day depends on the "Encik" (warrant officer). If he has won some soccer bets or strike some 4D, I garantee the day would pass easily. Most likely we only do some area "creening" and we can book out liao.

Of course, if he lost heavily and 4D jump munbers... Most likely he will indent army food and will get the whole lot to stay back with him.

Well, part and parcel of NS life.

I was sitting around and I saw a fellow camp mate. He sat down and we talked.

He: Oei, ho say bo? (hokkien for how is life)

Me: buay pai la, you lei? (hokkien for not bad)

He: mai kong la, company outsource, now just join another new company, no benefit... (follows by lots of hokkien swearing)

Me: really ah? nabei... nowadays every fuck thing also outsource. Might as well out source NS also... Tio bo? Out source company to maintain all the M-16s for us, out source Sembcorp to do all the area cleaning for us... 4 million smiles??? Prick la, outsouce it also la. Outsourcing sure see results one. More professional also...

He: keeps laughing... hahaha tio lor tio lor... kia, lets go smoke.

So me and him got up and head to the smokers corner. While walking there, I saw another camp mate showing how siong reservist is...

Mr. Toh sleeping. Seems very tired....

After I came back form a smoke, Mr.Tan decides to join Mr.Toh in dreamland.

And they lived happily ever after in their dreamland.

Snow Patrol is an alternative rock band from Northern Ireland signed to Polydor Records. The band was formed in Scotland by vocalist/guitarist Gary Lightbody and bassist/keyboardist Mark McClelland, two students from Northern Ireland, who were at the time pursuing an education in Dundee, Scotland

Origin : Northern Ireland/Scotland

Years active : 1994 – present

Genres : Alternative rock

Labels: MCA Music, Inc.PolydorInterscope

Past members: Mark McClelland

History

Originally formed in late 1994 as "Shrug", the band started by performing gigs at Dundee University and the surrounding pubs before changing their name to "Polar Bear" (or "Polarbear") in late 1995.

In mid 1997, they released a three-track EP, Starfighter Pilot, on the Electric Honey label. Richard Colburn, from Glaswegian indie band Belle & Sebastian, played drums on this record, and Stuart Murdoch, from the same band, sang on one of the b-sides. Due to legal threats from an American band with the same name (led by Eric Avery, the former bassist of Jane's Addiction), they became "Snow Patrol". A "thank you" to Gary's English tutor Peter Easingwood in the sleeve notes of the original 'Starfighter Pilot'.

At this point, Jonny Quinn, also from Northern Ireland, joined as permanent drummer. With him rounding out the lineup, the band released their next EP Little Hide on Jeepster Records while still living Dundee (its cover was a blurred photo of a football crowd watching Dundee United at Tannadice Park). A follow-up single "One Hundred Things You Should Have Done in Bed" was a minor independent chart hit. Both of these early singles were heavily promoted by Jeepster - with videos included as computer files on the CD singles, and Snow Patrol starting to appear on television.

Their first MTV interview was in 1998, and they briefly appeared on a Channel Four documentary about Jeepster Records (which concentrated mostly on Belle and Sebastian) that same year. Two albums on Jeepster followed: Songs For Polarbears in 1998 (including a slightly remixed version of their debut single Starfighter Pilot) and When It's All Over We Still Have to Clear Up in 2001 (both recorded while the band lived in Glasgow).

Also in 2001, Gary collected a group of Scottish independent musicians from such acts as Mogwai together to perform as a "supergroup" "The Reindeer Section", who have so far released two CD albums. Gary also performed vocals on a single by Cut La Roc.

First place i want to recommend is The Chocolate Factory. Its located around Mohd Sultan. Everything they serve there is about chocolate. Not those milky type. Its dark choclate type. Prices are resonable and ample seats. Go try!

For all those who like Hong Kong cafe style food. Here is a good place for you guys. Its located near East Coast Road, i think its more acessible if you have a vehicle. Look out for this sign board, its quite prominent. Traditional HK food... e.g: po luo pao, egg tart and tonnes of variety. Try their tea with milk (nai cha). Its so so so different from the "teh" we have a our coffeeshop.

That's all for now, happy food hunting!!!

Dear all, sorry for not posting for so long. Been called back to reservist. Wanted to take some nice shots for all you guys, but camera phone is banned in all Army Camps. So lets settle with a picture with all of us going for tea break.

Once a year we get called back to waste precious time and spent more money on sandwiches and kopi o. Worse of all, taxpayers money goes down the drain. Now you all know why prices of everything goes up??? Its to support more and more RESERVIST going back for their ICT.
